Dominique Zgarka, CEO of Independent Label Services Group Inc. (ILS) has signed an enhanced distribution agreement enabling his roster of third-party labels to be distributed via Universal Music Canada (UMC), the country’s leading music company with immediate effect. The announcement was made today by Zgarka and Randy Lennox, President & CEO, UMC.
ILS offers its third-party labels full servicing, which includes a host of services, and with this agreement would further allow such labels to benefit from Universal’s market leadership and in-house marketing and promotion services in Canada. The first group of ILS distributed labels to be launched through this unique system will be announced in the near future.
Zgarka states, “We are very excited to be joining forces Universal Music Canada team. Randy and his team are best in show and we look forward to building this strategic partnership in the years to come.”
